Hello and welcome to the Pure Faith Podcast. I am Michelle Waymeyer and this is my brother, Mitchell.
Speaker 3Hi I'm broad-shouldered, I need room.
Speaker 1We ask that you like this video, subscribe to our YouTube channel and don't forget to hit the notification icon. Aren't you supposed to?
Speaker 3It's a fly, it's attacking us. Oh Gord, seriously, seriously, I can't believe this. The phone thing does it. It does it now. You're talking with the subscriber and I do it at the end.
Speaker 1Oh, that's my bad. Okay, and don't forget to hit the notification icon to be notified when new episodes are released. Good, job. I'm just telling you, it's just been a long time since I've been sitting here.
Speaker 3I have like nothing. It seems like it's been forever.
Speaker 1Oh my gosh, like I was getting ready. I was like, oh my gosh, like I'm Like I used to not coming here.
Speaker 3Wow, Last night I was like, oh, I need to actually like read my notes that I did and prepare.
Speaker 1I know it's just been Weeks, I know, it's just been really odd.
Speaker 3Yeah, Now this is the start of something.
Speaker 1I don't know what. It's the start of.
Speaker 3Getting back into your routine.
Speaker 1Maybe I mean school starts in a couple of weeks. We have the fair that's coming this, coming this week also. I mean yeah.
Speaker 3I don't know if I'm going to take one of the days off work or not.
Speaker 1Well, I know that your babysitter is out of commission for this next week because she's on the fair board, I think.
Speaker 3Yeah, she's been on the ball this week.
Speaker 1Yeah, I know.
Speaker 3This weekend, next week.
Speaker 1I probably should offer to watch the boys one day next week and I can maybe take them to the fair. But we'll see.
Speaker 3Yeah, what's up to you?
Speaker 1I just don't know what I mean. It's got to be a pinch Like for all those people who have little ones now. Mind you, I was pretty lucky. I had a really great babysitter for my kids when they were little and everything was kind of lined up. I was like I'm going to have a baby set in the summer time and it all seemed to mesh. And now I'm like, oh, it's so hard for people to find at-home babysitters now and to find backup babysitters.
Speaker 3Yeah, well, we had a good backup babysitter, but she just took on a new family.
Speaker 2Oh.
Speaker 3And then she actually started that new family this week.
Speaker 1Oh dang.
Speaker 3She went and had her room for our boys because of that.
Speaker 2Hmm.
Speaker 3But yeah, she's always been a reliable backup.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 3Just now we have mom.
Speaker 1Yeah, mom is retired now.
Speaker 3And technically so is my mother-in-law.
Speaker 1Oh, yes, I forgot.
Speaker 3You got both retired.
Speaker 1Never mind, you got the best of the both worlds. Right now, both grandmothers can watch them.
Speaker 3Well, that was actually working right now.
Speaker 1Oh shoot, yeah Well, I've got the capability of being able to do it. I just well, I'll just wait and see if they need somebody.
Speaker 3I don't have the capability of doing it.
Speaker 1You don't.
Speaker 3No, I don't have the faculties for it.
Speaker 1You don't. Actually I do, but this week would have been a really great week for Don. This next week for Don to take off and to give it a trial run up, he wants to do babysitting.
Speaker 3He's actually considering.
Speaker 1Oh, oh, oh yeah. There's like this day care and it's got this name. It's called like water Outdoors, like there is like these letters and each letter had a name and basically it was it was all like for, it was all for boys. And when he said it, olivia is like wait a second. He's like, oh, no, worries, we'll have girls there and we'll do polypockets if we have to. And I was like they were going to do like jujitsu and they're going to do riding bikes and learning how to swim, and I'm like like kids, are you watching?
Speaker 3Olympic athletes? I don't know.
Speaker 1He's going to make them Olympic athletes. I mean, he didn't make our kids Olympic athletes, but he can make somebody else's kids, I guess I don't know. But yeah, this is I should. Actually I might bring it up to him. Like you know, take a week off next week. You can watch the high camp boys.
Speaker 2See how that goes.
Speaker 1He'll be like okay, and after the first day is like I'm going to have to call a vacation day.
Speaker 3I can't watch your boy yeah. I can't watch your boy I can see that happening.
Speaker 1Oh, my gosh.
Speaker 3But they were really good when I had them last Thursday.
Speaker 1They found the treasure stickers and, boy the imagination they came up with. Ooh, they went on a treasure hunt in my house, had a treasure map and everything. Yeah, so they are good at that. They were very creative, well he was very creative and very and he was very good at Boston. He, he was very good at Boston. He does do that too.
Speaker 3He's doing that. Last night, yeah, last night. They make this Like Obstacle course, but it's all with, with or yes.
Speaker 2I don't talk that way.
Speaker 3And like there's ladders that you have to go to. And whenever you get to certain certain spots, you have to do certain things, and it's it's very involved. Okay, it all started out with hopscotch.
Speaker 1Oh yes, I remember Paige saying that she had done hopscotch for yeah.
Speaker 3But then the hopscotch like just it grew, and it grew, and then circling back around.
Speaker 1Wait, so did you have to get laundry baskets out for boats? Cause at my house we had to get laundry baskets out for boats.
Speaker 3No, we weren't outside that moment, but but yeah, zeke was, was like that draw the.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3They draw on all of them so.
Speaker 1I don't know anything, okay.
Speaker 3I just sit there and just watch.
Speaker 1Well, his treasure map was really neat, so he did a good job.
Speaker 2Yeah, but.
Speaker 1All right, so like we doing a.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1A Bible study or what?
Speaker 3Yeah, I'm just.
Speaker 1Oh my gosh, yeah, I can't hear.
Speaker 3This is abuse. Actually, I did see it on our microphone and I thought about just like whacking the microphone, but I'm like, yeah, I better not do that. Anyways, I don't even remember what I was going to say.
Speaker 2I don't know.
Speaker 3Oh, I don't have a lot of energy because the local ice cream parlor decided to close today.
Speaker 1I like noon or two, it was too. Matt made it there.
Speaker 3I think it was Matt. I didn't see the driver but I know the old blue truck. I was pulling in from getting lunch and I seen the old blue truck pulling out. From that distance I knew it was the old blue truck. I'm like that's the old blue truck, that must be Matt Must be getting ice cream. But by the time I pulled in and I was to the back of the parking lot before they went by so I didn't see who it was. But I confirmed it was the old blue truck 98%.
Speaker 1Sure it was Matthew Icamp.
Speaker 3Probably blue was.
Speaker 1He probably knew that it was closing today.
Speaker 3This was at like one o'clock or 12.45.
Speaker 1He probably saw it because I think they did. They have a Facebook page and I just showed Mitchell the Facebook page because he doesn't follow them or probably, I don't know, don't really look at your Facebook, except for to share our podcast.
Speaker 1I do, but anyhow. So I showed it to him and it said four hours ago. So if it posted and Matt gets notifications from Alice's, he probably got the notification and went, put it in, drive, hit the pedal. I got to get there. Before they close, I get one more milkshake. That's Matt Poor Mitchell, though he didn't get any ice cream. I guess I can start making you milkshakes before we come here. If it's going to give you a little bit of I don't know.
Speaker 3No, no, I just take it, so I make it.
Speaker 1Do you?
Speaker 3Yeah, I just started picking it, yet tonight.
Speaker 1I just make sure I have coffee to get me through.
Speaker 3I don't even have water.
Speaker 1Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3Yeah, what's wrong with you? I'm way out of routine. I haven't got back into routine from vacation and we're back for a week. And then I was going for a week from military and I haven't been back a full week yet, so I haven't got back into my full routine.
Speaker 1And I guess, with all that too, we should probably. I mean, we had a nice wedding party for Olivia and Owen also. You left right after dinner well, a little bit after dinner from the party, but it ended up being a nice turnout, a nice day. We all prayed for no rain. We were able to get the tent up. We were able to get the tent up and get it down.
Speaker 1We weren't there for the process of getting it down and then having to fold it to fit it back in the bag. It's like putting a tiny what is it a big guy in a tiny suit? That's what it was like. That guy in the bag that guy, that guy Small suit. So we were trying to do that, but yeah, we did. We were able to get the tent up. We had some music Shane and Jason and Tim they did a really great job with the music and food turned out great. Everybody who participated our help.
Speaker 3I kind of see some videos of some people up there singing karaoke.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, I didn't see those videos. I didn't see them. Oh my gosh, that fly Don't hit me anymore.
Speaker 3Black eyes, we did.
Speaker 1We did a little karaoke type thing, which was nice. I don't know who actually wanted that to happen, but it happened. It wasn't me. I was just told I had to be up there for it, so I was like that's no problem. But yeah, it ended up being a nice day, a nice event, and they will get married in December and I will be free of her. Yeah.
Speaker 3Good luck with that.
Speaker 1Oh no, she's Olivia. She's one of a kind and I absolutely love her. Oh, and Elle came home. She surprised us too. Yeah, that was nice to see her. Yeah, it was very nice to see her. She traveled up here for a surprise, so we were able to visit with her, and lots of hugs and tears when we said goodbye. But she's back home now, so, no, I wasn't able to make it, but that's okay. He'll come another time, hopefully in December, yeah.
Speaker 3He's going to miss a lot of things, so he might as well get used to it.
Speaker 1The thing is is that we know that. We know that so, but there's some people who don't understand that it's just part of it, so take what we can get.
Speaker 3I mean I missed the whole first year of Zeke's life.
Speaker 1Yeah, you did miss the whole first year of Zeke's life.
Speaker 3Yeah, Two weeks shot, a full year.
Speaker 1And look how well he turned out.
Speaker 3Three weeks shot, a full year.
Speaker 1My nose itches today.
Speaker 3I was itching earlier, okay, so.
Speaker 1Well, I knew that you weren't prepared, so I thought, oh my gosh, I didn't set the timer. See, we're way off.
Speaker 3Oh, my goodness. So I missed that thing has a timer down there.
Speaker 1Well, I'm going to say it's been, at least it does what?
Speaker 3How many episodes have we been doing? I just now realized that this actually has a timer. Down there We've been talking for 13 minutes. I granted the first few minutes of that. It was just us rambling.
Speaker 1I was going to say it's been about 12.
Speaker 3So it's actually probably been about 10.
Speaker 1So I mean I can just, I will never have to say anything, I'll just go my my bifolk working.
Speaker 3Not be obvious at all Invading my area.
Speaker 1My goodness, yeah, so yeah, I'll set my timer as you prepare for whatever it is you're going to tell us.
Speaker 3Okay, well.
Speaker 1Do you know what you're telling us?
Speaker 3I'm going to talk about the beatitude, yet.
Speaker 1Oh my gosh, is that what we're talking?
Speaker 3about. We're not done with them yet. Oh, that's quite interesting.
Speaker 1I have no idea.
Speaker 3I have two more left, no three more, three more.
Speaker 1No, and you didn't print notes, so let me get you.
Speaker 3Well, I did know. No, I printed notes. They're just all at home in my printer.
Speaker 1I cannot believe how bad my notes is, just like.
Speaker 3So he's thinking about you. Is that what that means?
Speaker 1No, I was hoping it means money was coming my way. But if you want to say someone's, thinking about me.
Speaker 3Is that one of your hand itches? I don't know what it is. I don't know those old saying. I don't remember what they are. I thought when you're palm itch that means you're supposed to. Money's supposed to be coming your way. When your nose is, I mean somebody was talking about you.
Speaker 1Well, people probably do talk about me.
Speaker 3It's like right, You're all right. Hey, I thought I was just here. Okay, let's get started, I guess, All right what are we talking about? Oh yeah, Ten minutes into this.
Speaker 1I set my alarm for 14 minutes.
Speaker 3Okay, so we are in Matthew 5.8.
Speaker 1Matthew 5.8.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 3I just let you hit me for no reason.
Speaker 1Well, we'll find out a little bit, because it lands on your head. We'll try it again.
Speaker 3Whoa Okay, matthew.
Speaker 1What is it, matthew?
Speaker 3Matthew 5'8" 5'8". So blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Speaker 1Oh, okay.
Speaker 3So that's what we're talking about today.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 3Okay, are we ready?
Speaker 1I've been ready.
Understanding Being Pure in Heart
Speaker 3That's good, at least some of these. So pure in heart. What does this mean? Again, blessed are Macarios. Check out the video the pure in heart.
Speaker 3So what does it mean to be pure in heart? Well, whenever Jesus is talking about pure in heart, this heart that he is referring to isn't the literal heart in our chest that is beating, that is pumping the blood throughout our body. This heart that he is referring to is our metaphorical heart. So this is the heart that would contain our drive, our passion, our desires, those things that make us who we are, those things that make us tick. That's the heart that he's talking about.
Speaker 3And to put this kind of into perspective, to help explain this a little bit, a lot of the times, whenever we view performance driven activities the big one being sports, but also like acting or singing or any kind of performing arts or anything else that is performance based Okay, and I did have the scenario picked out that I was going to talk about a professional athlete and a professional athlete who's not performing to their full standard, but then I went to T-Ball last night and my whole description has changed because Zeke gave me the perfect example of the saying that his heart wasn't in it.
Speaker 3Have you heard that? Have?
Speaker 2you heard that before.
Speaker 3Yeah. So you know that saying okay, somebody's not performing to their normal standards, that one of the things that people would say is that their heart's not in it. Well, zeke's heart was not in T-Ball last night. So past weeks he has shown effort. He has, you know, gone after the ball was throwing the ball and, like whenever he was running, he'd be running, he'd be running so fast he'd have to hold his helmet on.
Speaker 1Okay, all right.
Speaker 3He'd fly off if he didn't.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 3But last night it just wasn't there and I don't know why. I mean, at one point Zeke was sitting on the bench waiting for his turn to bat and he had a bat and he had the barrel down, so the heel was up, his hands on top of the heel, sitting on the bench with his chin on the bat, just going in circles, just completely oblivious to everything going on around him in his own little world, just sitting there and just kind of going in circles. And then whenever, well, then whenever he went up the bat, I mean yeah, he hit the ball, but then his running so fast he has to hold his helmet on, was more like a very, very, very light jog. He could make even a slightly expedited walk, like, again, his passion, his motivation.
Speaker 2His motivation.
Speaker 3His drive just was not in it, his heart was not in it. And then, whenever he goes to the outfield, he was standing in the position of where the second baseman would stand. Now, granted, they don't put these kids in positions. Normally they're all within the baseline and all at front, and then somebody hits the ball and they all run to the ball.
Speaker 3And then the first one that gets the ball gets it and they throw it to the first base and there is one kid that stays at first base. Well, Zeke was in the position of where an actual second baseman would stand. So he's actually behind the baseline and the ball is getting hit and he's feet are planted and he's just looking around.
Speaker 1We all can take that one.
Speaker 3But then one of the kids actually hits it over the head of everybody else and hits it like right next to him and he just kind of turns and looks at it and he doesn't move and all the other kids can run it out and go get it. And I was like this is what it means if you are in a performance driven activity like a sport and your heart's just not in it. Like he had no care. There's been weeks where he's like fighting us, I don't want to go play T-ball tonight, I don't want to go to T-ball tonight and we get there and he's like just tearing it up.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 3Today he was excited about going. Now, once we got there, he's like I don't feel like playing T-ball tonight. I was like Zeke, we're here, you have to play T-ball.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 3And he didn't say anything else, but apparently he just wasn't doing it. He was not, and you know why.
Speaker 1I think because they had the week off last week. I think if they went and had that week off last week, you probably would have been Maybe. Do you think I don't know, because they didn't have it last week because it was raining.
Speaker 3I mean he was before the game yeah, that's what you want to call it. It started Like he was out there, he was throwing and he was doing the grounders. I mean he can't catch.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 3But he'll let the ball fly by him and then he'll go around and pick it up and throw a back. That's normal for him. But yeah, once they started playing, he's like I'm checking out. My heart's not in it tonight.
Speaker 2Love it.
Speaker 3So that whole concept of being in that type of situation where your heart's not in it, that type of heart is the type of heart Jesus is talking about here.
Speaker 3It's that metaphorical heart within us that holds our innermost desires and passions and all that other good stuff, well… so that's what this heart means, but Jesus was talking about being pure in heart. Now let's look at this word. Pure and the actual definition of pure is not mixed or adulterated with any other substance or material. So basically, the thing that we probably most hear at least for like where we live, I guess is about purebred animals.
Speaker 1I thought you were gonna say pure honey. You have that at your house. Well it's not mixed with any other materials.
Speaker 3Okay, go ahead. But I was thinking more like purebred dogs. That's probably something that a lot of people are very familiar with.
Speaker 2Okay.
Speaker 3And by being a purebred dog or any kind of purebred animal, that means that bloodline that that animal has, it's not mixed with any other. I wish I knew my science. Any other species? No, don't look at me, any other dogs, it's that bloodline of dog. There's no other bloodline of dog mixed in with it. Okay, so it's not a mutt, it's just that certain breed of dog. So that's what means by being a purebred or that's just pure. That's what pure means is. There's nothing else mixed in there. Well, jesus is calling us to be pure of heart. Well, we know this heart is the metaphorical heart that contains all the stuff that makes us go. But how can we be pure Like? We can't be a purebred humankind?
Speaker 3We, every human, is a mix of different races, that's just the way it is. That's the way this world is, but so how can we, as mutts, be pure of heart? Well, this isn't again. That heart that Jesus was talking about was not the literal heart in the chapter it's a metaphorical heart.
Speaker 3Well, this pure isn't necessarily the literal pure. This is a more of a metaphorical pure that goes with that metaphorical heart. So by this pure and the best way to explain this would be to give kind of a scenario or example, I guess it's the best way to say it so imagine back before you were a Christian, before you accepted Christ into your heart. At that point in time you had desires, you had passions, you had goals, you had things that you were working towards in your life, and it could be various things. It could be climbing that corporate ladder, it could be different types of hobbies or other types of things that you do, and it could even be your family. The most important thing in your life could have been spending time with your family. Well then, imagine, whenever you accept Christ as Lord and Savior. At that point, when you accept Jesus Christ, you receive the Holy Spirit. So now the Holy Spirit is going to come and move into you. He's going to dwell within you. It's called the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit's going to live within us.
Speaker 3Well, if your metaphorical heart is full of worldly desires, if it's full of climbing that corporate ladder, doing, whatever your hobbies are, even your family. Well, those things in modern day Christianity we can consider those to be idols, because if you place those before Christ, then they are an idol, because you're worshiping them more so, or before you're worshiping Christ. So even your family can be an idol. If you put your family before Christ, your family is an idol. So, whenever we accept Christ and we have that, have the Holy Spirit come into our being, move into our heart. Well, we have to make room for Him and that's what Jesus is leaning towards here by being pure of heart. So we're still going to have worldly desires, you're still going to have that desire to climb the corporate ladder, you're still going to have that desire to do your hobbies, to spend time with your family.
Speaker 3But by being pure of heart, you put Christ first in every situation. That's what Jesus is referring to whenever he's talking about being pure of heart. It's about putting Christ first, then living your life in Christ, having Christ fully within you. You go and you can pursue those other things and now, granted, if they are things that will pull you away from Christ or things that would be considered evil or sinful, those are the types of things you need to cut out of your life, but spending time with your family, spending time with a harmless hobby even though some hobbies can get expensive but as long as it's not detrimental to your soul, detrimental to your relationship with Christ, there's nothing wrong with that. And you can pursue climbing the corporate ladder, you can pursue promotions and all that other stuff, but as long as your life is centered and focused on Christ, then yeah, go after a promotion, go make more money. Yeah.
Speaker 1Well, I like to look at it this way If you weren't supposed to do that, opportunity wouldn't be there anyhow, because the Lord put it there. So I mean, that's the way I look at it, especially with a lot of things Like the Lord wouldn't have given me my family if he didn't want me to take care of them. The Lord wouldn't have given me the job that I have if he didn't want me to be successful in it. The Lord wouldn't have given me, you know, the capability to sing beautifully.
Speaker 3Oh, I'm sorry. I just threw it from the mouth a little bit.
Speaker 1But you know what I mean Like that's, and before I never would have thought of it that way. You know, before I you know I was the lost sheep and I came back I never would have thought of like, you know, when you were saying that I'm like but you were saying the corporate ladder and something like that. But really, you know, I put Christ before a lot of things, everything, and if he wants me to have it, then he leads me to that, he gives that to me, so, and I'm very thankful for everything that he's given me. My time just went off, but that doesn't mean that you have to stop. I have no idea.
Speaker 3Yeah, I just took down there too. We're like right at 30 minutes now. No, we'll keep one. Okay, no, but so how's this gonna work? Mm-hmm cuz we live in the world. So how can we be pure of heart, how can we live a life putting Christ first, when there's so much in this world that is trying to pull us away, right, trying to get between us and Christ? Mm-hmm because it's everywhere.
Speaker 3I mean if you think about it everything you watch on TV movies, tv shows Heaven forbid you watch the news. Yeah, I know, right, all that stuff is. It's all coming from the world, it's all created by the world. Same with with music, with podcast, with anything that we consume, as far as entertainment or or Any kind of media that we consume it's all coming from the world. So now, granted, some of the stuff is is more Christian centered and is more wholesome and good to watch, but then there's other stuff that is completely the opposite. I have turned on podcast and I listened to like two minutes of it and I shut it off. I'm like I cannot listen to that. That is, that is not in my wheelhouse for things to listen to, because it is not.
Speaker 1That's a devil working.
Speaker 3Yeah, so you have to be careful. So how do we Protect ourselves? Mm-hmm, from right. How do outside things? Like I just said, if it's something that you start watching it and you realize that it is, it's probably not something you should watch it. Mm-hmm, shut it off.
Speaker 3You don't have to listen or watch if it's something that you can't shut it off, walk away. Walk away. It's, it's fine, mm-hmm. But yeah, just set yourself up for success. Don't put yourself in a situation where Things are coming between you and Christ. So I mean, that's, the most important thing in this world is Christ. So, as long as you're living your life focused on Christ and like you were saying, christ will guide you to opportunities, yep, this actually reminds me of a quote micro gave. I Heard it in a commencement speech. Man, it's been what I thought about it. There's something along the lines of Don't chase your dreams, chase your opportunities.
Speaker 2Hmm.
Speaker 1So and it was referring to looking for open doors- Hmm you know, don't try to go and you know who opens those doors.
Speaker 3Yep, and I don't know how Spiritual he is right.
Speaker 1You don't know where he's in a.
Speaker 3Christian Mm-hmm, but when I heard that, I was like that advice faithful ears here that, here, that message different Yep and I heard that and I was like that is absolutely true and that is very spiritual, even though he may not be a spiritual person, but I heard it in a spiritual manner and that's because and again, I'm a firm believer in the Lord will give people the words to speak.
Speaker 1So that day, you know, like you said, no matter where his faith was at that time, I still think that the Lord would give words to people.
Speaker 3Yes, to speak, yes, and I actually rely on that, probably a bit too much. You know, whatever Happens, it does happen, it's no big deal so but yes, we are gonna be out in this world, we are gonna have all this stuff Coming at us and know that you are gonna fail.
Speaker 2Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3It's gonna happen. Mm-hmm, I fail, I'm sure.
Speaker 2Michelle fails.
Speaker 3I feel all the time it's gonna happen Mm-hmm. But luckily for us, jesus loved us Well, god loved us so much that he sent his son, jesus, to die for us and give us Through the death barrow. In resurrection of Jesus we have the ability to confess those sins and be forgiven of those sins and Get on a path back to righteousness and back to a place where we can be pure of heart, where we can take all that outside stuff that we may put before Christ and get rid of it and put Christ once again at the Forefront of our heart to fill our heart, and we will then be pure of heart. So we are gonna fail, but there is a way to get through that.
Speaker 3Yes and Something else that I kind of came up with is a little saying, because a good way of You're in a situation You're not quite sure how to react, you're not quite sure what to do, the best thing to do is to Basically think of the Christian core values. But I, for one, am horrible and memorizing Me too. I, for I don't know why I cannot memorize scripture. Now, I will like memorize lines of the Bible, but if you ask me where it actually came from, but I don't know Let me Google it and I'll let you know.
Speaker 1Yeah, you can't just say like it is.
Speaker 3Ephesians 6 John 3, 16.
Speaker 1Oh that's all I want to got.
Speaker 3I got that one, I got you got you. And there there are others that I know right now because I've been studying. Yeah, yeah but give it a month when I'm not studying them all the time. It was like man. I know this is in the Bible and I can quote it, but I have no idea where it's at.
Speaker 1Yeah, and the thing is, is that when someone says oh, you know Matthew 258, whatever, and reads it and you're like oh, yep, I know that one.
Speaker 3Yeah, I got that one so I'm not gonna memorize this group. No, so I'm not going to memorize eight verses. I've tried, I've tried memorizing these bad attitudes. I can't do it, but I came up with two shorter sentences. Mmm what are? These that I actually have been able to memorize because you came up with them.
Speaker 3Yeah, but it kind of flows Okay. So hopefully Get out. I burp and yep, right this down and just keep one over it in your head and this will help you to memorize the bad suits. So it says bless are the poor in spirit, meek mourners who hunker and thirst for righteousness. What? Yep, I heard, actually it does feel pretty good it does bless of the merciful and the pure and heart peacemakers who are persecuted for righteousness is safe.
Speaker 1You had to read it though.
Speaker 3Don't mess it up.
Speaker 1Oh Wow, I was like what you're reading it from your tablet.
Speaker 2You're already having a.
Speaker 1MRI. Oh Well, how do I know?
Speaker 3me.
Speaker 1Oh, so you're gonna put those up on the screen.
Speaker 3Yeah, I'll put that up good. So yeah, so that's pretty much in order, except for Lesson the pure, our porn spirit, mm-hmm. But then I switch, switch meek, and one of those Technically it's mourners and then the meek. So, but the meek mourners, there's a plus that are the porn spirit, meek mourners who hunger and thirst for righteousness, and Then blessed are the merciful and the pure and heart peacemakers who hunger and or who are persecuted for righteousness is fake.
Speaker 1See, I didn't read it at that time. Good job, good job All right.
Seeing God in Partial Fulfillment
Speaker 3So to finish this up, for they shall see God. So again, like the, the second part of all these bad attitudes, there is typically a Current fulfillment that we will see, and then a full fulfillment later on. But Whenever it comes to seeing God, scripture tells us that it is impossible for us to see the face of God and live. So how is this gonna work? How can there be a partial fulfillment of this when, obviously, whenever it's fully fulfilled, we will see the face of God, because we will be in heaven, right, but for now, when we're still on the earth, we can't see God?
Speaker 2No.
Speaker 3Well, you can, though, because you can see God working in your life. Yeah, even though you can't physically see God, you can't look upon God, but you can see God working in your life. So that is the partial fulfillment there. Okay is, you can see God working in and around your life. You can see him giving you the mercy, the grace, the blessings, without actually seeing God. So that is just something to look forward to, and, honestly, seeing God working without seeing God, that is technically the actual definition of faith, cuz that's what Jesus told having Thomas.
